How do you spearate the hard drive and disk drive power connectors from the power supply cords? - hard drive

I bought a new power supply and is on the old hard drive and floppy drive ports with little or expansions at all. I could not separate connectors for power cables, then separated from the disk. But now, not separated from each other and have even tried to throw hard. What happens, how these things for me that my own other devices installed.
