Ceiling Fan Switch Wiring Ceiling Fan Switch And Wiring?

Ceiling fan switch and wiring? - ceiling fan switch wiring

I recently replaced my fan switch ceiling. When you pull the old switch, I knew that I take note of the position of the cable. I connected the new switch fan. The fan is working, but only on and off, no change of speed. I fear that may be incorrectly wired.

The cables are color-coordinated (pink, black, yellow, gray). I wonder if the color is coordinating the special position on the switch. The new switch is a 3-speed to 4 son position.

Also usually the ground wire?

Thank you. I really appreciate your help.

Tell you a wall hanging on the switch or a light switch?

Anyway, black is probably the power cord, and the colors are the speeds. Black will be shared with others. Those who can not afford to hit every time you switch to another cable position. You need to find the common terminal on the switch that makes the continuity with the other terminals at each switch position. The chances are good that a little bit different, if yu look closely OT was, is a different page. It may be marked with a C instead of the shared parking on the switch.

The country is not part of the switching mechanism is not neutral. You are not switchable.

You have 4 son and 3-course .... very often "hot" and 3 speed, feed on them, so that the wire of the switch correctly.
